No: 5594803529, European Union VAT Number: SE559480352901), we are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring that your personal information is handled in a safe and responsible manner. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share information when you use our website and all services related to the looptasker.com domain, our Progressive Web App (PWA), and our applications available on the Windows Store, Apple App Store, and Google Play Store (collectively, the "Service").

By using Loop Tasker, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect several types of information to provide and improve our Service to you.

1.1 Personal Information

When you create an account, we collect information that identifies you, such as:

  • Registration Data: Email address, name, and profile picture (retrieved via Google, Microsoft, GitHub, or your chosen authentication provider).
  • Authentication Data: Unique User ID (UID) provided by Firebase Authentication.

1.2 User-Generated Content

We store the content you create within the Service, including:

  • Tasks and Projects: Task titles, descriptions, due dates, subtasks, and organization into "Spaces."
  • Notes: Text-based notes created within the "Loop Notes" or "Personal Notes" sections.
  • Collaboration Data: Comments, remarks, and activity history within shared workspaces ("Contexts").
  • Attachments: Files and images you upload to tasks or notes (stored securely via Firebase Storage).

1.3 Usage and Technical Data

To ensure a smooth experience and monitor system health, we collect:

  • Statistics: Daily and monthly usage metrics (e.g., number of tasks created).
  • Device Information: Browser type, operating system, and unique device identifiers for push notifications and session management.
  • Log Data: IP addresses, access times, and pages viewed.

1.4 Billing and Payment Information

Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card details on our servers. Stripe provides us with:

  • Subscription status and plan level.
  • Transaction history and billing zip code.
  • Stripe Customer ID.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data for various purposes:

  • To provide and maintain the Service: Including managing your account and syncing data across devices.
  • To manage billing: Processing payments and managing subscriptions via Stripe.
  • To improve the Service: Analyzing usage patterns to optimize features and performance.
  • To communicate with you: Sending service-related notifications, updates, and support messages.
  • To ensure security: Monitoring for fraudulent activity and enforcing our Terms of Service.
  • To provide search functionality: Indexing your content (tasks, notes) via Typesense to allow you to search your own data efficiently.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating our Service:

  • Google Cloud Platform (Firebase): For infrastructure, authentication, database hosting (Firestore), file storage, cloud functions, web hosting, scheduled tasks (Cloud Scheduler), data analytics (BigQuery), automated backups, and system logging (Cloud Logging).
  • Stripe: For payment processing and subscription management.
  • Typesense: For providing fast, private search capabilities within your account.
  • Google Analytics (Firebase): For understanding user behavior and improving the Service through anonymized usage data.
  • Email Delivery Services: We use secure SMTP providers and Firebase extensions to deliver service-related and transactional emails to you.

We may also disclose your information if required by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

4.1 Retention

We retain your personal information and user-generated content for as long as your account is active.

4.2 Deletion

  • Trash System: Deleted tasks, notes, and projects (Spaces) are moved to a "Trash" collection and are automatically purged after 30 days.
  • Account Deletion: You may request to delete your account at any time. Upon receiving a deletion request, your account will be deactivated, and your personal data will be removed from our active production systems within a standard processing window (typically up to 30 days). Please note that some information may persist in our encrypted backups for a limited period or as required by law for auditing and compliance purposes.

5. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:

  • Encryption: Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.
  • Security Rules: We use Firebase Security Rules to ensure that only authorized users can access specific data.
  • Session Management: Users can revoke all active sessions to secure their account in case of unauthorized access.

6. Your Rights (GDPR & Global Standards)

As we are based in the European Union (Sweden), we comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your data:

  • Access: The right to request a copy of the data we hold about you.
  • Correction: The right to request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Erasure (Right to be Forgotten): The right to request that we delete your data, subject to certain legal exceptions (such as data we are required to keep for tax or legal compliance).
  • Portability: The right to request a transfer of your data to another service in a structured, commonly used format.
  • Object/Restrict: The right to object to or restrict certain processing of your data.

7. Cookies and Tracking

We use essential cookies to manage your authentication state and preferences. We also use Google Analytics for Firebase to collect anonymized information about how users interact with our Service (e.g., page views, session duration). This helps us improve the user experience. You can manage your cookie preferences through your browser settings or opt-out of analytics through standard browser tools.

8. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date."
